Peace with PD (Dede),
I'm sorry that I have neglected so many friends by not checking my messages! I have been Lurking around the Support Group issues and just a short while ago I believe I read a response from you and that you have been quite ill and having a difficult time. If that was you, I am so sorry ! This PD is an awful condition and it doesn't seem that anyone has found a reliable cure! New medicines are being worked on and some have been said to be available next year! I guess we have to keep hoping and praying. You have been in my thoughts and prayers!

PS I don't ski any more, thanks to PD. I'm not supposed to drive either. (I do for short distances to the Post Office, corner store and ATM machine.)-
Moment of Peace
I apologize for not getting back to you sooner. I have had a struggle for most of the year dealing with increasingly longer periods of "off time". I'm doing pretty well now since my neurologist added Amantadine to my medicine regime. There has been only one side effect- Hallucinations! Not frightening but now because of that, I can not drive . This is very inconvenient and frustrating! It's only seems to be people that appear and disapear mostly in my house. Lately they bring children along who seem to crowd around me when I use my computer! It can be quite annoying! But enough of me!
How has your year gone? I'm happy to have you for a friend and I intend to be checking my messages on a more regular basis. I hope you are finding that there is "Life after the diagnosis of PD."

Close Parkinson's Disease
I have had parkinson for6-7 yrs I have good days and a lot of bad days. I always make it through the grace of GOD. Of course friends help me by encouraging me. They give me a lot of support.
