- After a heart attack at 48 and a seizure 3 months later, I was diagnosed with pre-arteriosclerosis. My grandmother had it, my father died of a blood clot to his neck and I had plaque filled arteries with the main vein to my heart blocked 95 percent. Plavix and an aspirin, along with high blood pressure meds and Cholesterol meds have made me feel better. And I've changed my diet. I was always thin anyway, but also smoked.
