Close Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS)
I've been married going on 2 yrs now. We've been trying to conceive since January 2007. I got diagnosed with PCOS in May 2007. In December 2008 I started seeing an OB/GYN for infertility treatments. Thus far I've only ovulated 1 time in 4 months. I've had whats called a chemical pregnancy but thats it.
Treatments
- Clomid Not Working
- Been on clomid for 4 months now and only ovulated 1 time. I'm now taking the max doasage of 150mg and thus far don't think its worked. Most side effects I had was hot flashes and increased moodiness.
- Provera Somewhat Helpful
- I use provera for 10 days so that I can have a period then on days 5-9 I take Clomid. Provera does help start my period each time but it does not bring my progesterone levels up enough to ovulate correctly.
Close Infertility
Type: Ovarian IssuesI have PCOS and have been trying for to conceive since Jan 2007. In May 2007 I got diagnosed with this disorder b/c I had vaginal bleeding that lasted 3 weeks. Dr told me start considering to try to have kids. The sooner the better my chances. I started ovulation treatments in Nov 2008.
Treatments
- Clomid Not Working
- Used Clomid for 4 months now and have only ovulated once. S/E I had were hot flashes and moodiness and some wieght gain.
- Folic Acid Not Working
- Been taking Folic Acid since we started considering to try for a child. no side effects.
- Ovulation Predictor Kit Somewhat Helpful
- It helped me find out I have ovualted and when I ovulated the one time i have since i've been on Clomid. no side effects.
- Progesterone Cream Too Soon to Tell
- Started taking progesterone cream daily but dr. doesn't know I did. Hot flashes are the only side effect.
- Provera Working / Worked
- I took provera so that I could have a period so then I know when to start taking my clomid otherwise I wont start a period on my own for up to 6 months. No side effects except moodiness.
Open Trying To Conceive
I was diagnosed with PCOS in May 2007 and we have been trying to conceive a little over 2 years now. Just in Nov 2008 I started using Clomid to induce ovulation. So far it has not been successful :(
