Prolotherapy (A New Therapy for Me)

I'm a retired elementary school teacher. Currently, I have a private tutoring business teaching ESL students to write a variety of essays. I've been married 31 years and have one step-daughter, son-in-law and a grandson. We have two cats named Mikie and Fifi.

I love tutoring children. Also, I enjoy reading, especially self help books, books on CMP and fiction. Listening to music is another interest.

I'm sending you a ray of sunshine from sunny Pittsburgh. The weather here has been in the high 60's to the low 70's. Very beautiful. Yesterday, Saturday, was a good day for me. So Larry (husband-type-person) and a friend went to see the life-sized Nina and Pinta! Columbus' ships are replicas of the originals. The Pinta is 50% larger but the Nina was recreated to the old specifications. FascInating!
Hope all your days are good ones.

Can I be your student too? Sending some flowers for you!
Thanks for the hug. I was thinking of you too last night. As many of us feel, I don't know how I am. I finally got in to see a physiatrist a few weeks ago. He diagnosed me as having Myofascial as well as severe muscle strains on my right shoulder and all along the top of my right shoulder blade and a less severe strain on my left shoulder. That explains a lot. He changed all my drugs to Fibromalgia-based drugs and nutritional aids. He also put a brace on my back. It's like a backpack without the pack to pull my shoulders back. That keeps some pressure off my shoulder blade injuries. I like him a LOT better than my previous doctor and I think he is helping me.
I'm really emotionally down today so I just don't know because he advised that I get a myofascial masssage from their therapist. I did and it hurt later on. That therapist advised that I use a Frequency Specific Microcurrent machine. Have you ever heard of that? It's on the web. You may want to look it up, if you haven't heard about it. So, I'm confused. Being in chronic pain is a full time job.
It all started 12 years ago after taking golf lessons. Unknown to me, hitting the ground while trying to hit the ball, threw my musculoskeletal structure out of alignment. I developed severe headaches and then my legs started hurting after my two mile daily walks. Eventualy, I developed shin splints, but they wouldn't heal. My internist sent me to every specialist within my HMO, but they were baffled. Thus, I went outside my HMO to find answers. It has been quite a healing journey.
