I'm a mechanic/parts manager at a family owned business. I'm single with no kids. I'm lucky because I can do pretty much everything I want. I have plenty of "normal" friends but its to find people that can relate to me a lot better as far as CP goes.I guess my philosophy on CP is that it stinks that I have it or anyone else that has it but we just have to live our life and try to learn to deal with it.

Close Cerebral Palsy
My CP happened during birth. Meds. that weren't supposed to be given to my mom were as I understand it. I'm not sure what class I would be in. I should know but I've never researched CP like I should've. I can move all body parts but I am spastic at times which makes it hard to relax ofcourse. I do work, drive, cook, go out, ect. If I could relax more I'd be less embaressed when I go out or talking to new people. Hopefully joining the site will help find people who can relate.
Treatments
- Baclofen Too Soon to Tell
- I said I'd try anything so I was presented this and tried it. I've had it for a long time but I'm still undecided if it helps to be honest.
- Physical Exercise Working / Worked
- Lifting weights helps more then anything. I started out to build muscle but I found out after a while that it helps my movement too. I'm still spastic at times though.

I have a friend who is dying from ALS.
