Close Rheumatoid Arthritis

Diagnosed in April 2005, after having symptoms for more than 6 months. Generally doing ok after a very bad first year with RA, and I only have occasional flares. I'm on an aggressive med regiment, but doctor is wary of taking something off or reducing. Though not officially in "remission" - I seem to be doing ok. The most frustrating part about this whole thing is I can never forget, even for a day, I have this disease.

Treatments

Folic Acid Working / Worked

Recently started this again to help with side effects of Methotrexate. Too soon to tell if it "works"

Humira Working / Worked

FMD (Freaking Miracle Drug). Before Humira, I couldn't lift a glass to my mouth!

Hydroxychloroquine Working / Worked

Methotrexate Working / Worked

Hate the side effects (hair loss, diarrhea, fatigue) but in combo with Humira, it seems to keep the RA in check

Voltaren Working / Worked

when I forget to take it - I really feel the effects (very stiff, pain) - so this daily anti-inflammatory helps
