My mother was just diagnosed with Intermediate I MDS. She is getting a second opinion at MD Anderson April 20. Does anyone else have any suggestions as to any "experts" out there? She is 60 years old and right now, her only issue is anemia (low hemoglobin). She has no chromosomal abnormalities and her blasts count if between 5.7-7.0. Her white blood cell count is okay as well as her platelets.
