treatment update Mood
Thursday, July 23, 2009 | A Rambling story

...had 4 treatments of IV venofer and additional 2 units of blood. They had me stay in hospital to recieve the blood and then did a scan of my liver--no cirrhosis or masses, but my liver is HUGE! Next week(28th) I see the hepatologist to see what we shall see!

frankly I'm worried about this plan "O" has in store for us! I SEE MY CONDITION AS ONE OF THOSE THAT WILL AHVE TO BE LIVED WITH, A PAT ON THE HEAD AND SOME PILLS! It's just plain wrong, what they're trying to do, I ust got insuranc eaftwr 2 1/2 years. Not one person said I have tojust live with the anemia...or "deal with it!". I hope I'm worrying fro nothing!

new stuff... Mood
Sunday, June 28, 2009 | A General Update story

Had the scopes...no news is good news. Slight irritation in Jejunum causing (maybe) a little bleeding. Can't digest hard greens anymore...remember to eat cereal..Venafer #3 in... and blood is catching up. Starting to feel better. The aches have been getting manageable with the addition of synthroid...now the tramadol is working again, finally!

My right side is still sore, hard to lay on sometimes, but I've noticed my naps are getting to be more Power-naps, less time, mpre bang for my "buck"! It's been a long time coming...

The hep is reigning right now as the biggest problem, but one I have to "live" with. Ok, Ok...

2 month slater...add insurance! Mood
Saturday, June 6, 2009 | A Rambling story

Two months post transfuson and i'm totally out of gas! I'm getting the low income highmark(still expensive) nut it pays for everything, so it's pretty much OK. Blood stats are:

RBC’s 7.2

---Hemoglobin 8.1

----Hematocrit 25.7

--and ferritin 7.2

Basically out of iron, AND oxygen... hard to breathe, headachy, and SO TIRED!It really gets to me that I have to get so down before I get noticed. Now with the insu. I guess we'll stat bett on this. If I can get my gut squared away we'l be okay!

No i have to take thyroid meds, as it's not working well either!Man this is geti stupid! But maybe this will help the cramping and some other stuff...I guess we'll wait and see---

AGH 6/10 @ 11a for first venofer.
