Diagnosed in '05 with Primary Progressive.I was walking then, but in a chair now.I'm only 34,single and worried that I will die alone. Who wants to date someone in a chair? No kids. Forced to move back home.My life savings is gone, credit cards maxed,had to sell my car & let my downtown high rise apartment go,drop out of school.I owe $36k in school loans. Not really passionate about anything anymore...well, except sleeping. I can still walk, run and dance in my dreams. I used to LOVE to dance.

Close Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
Type: Primary Progressive MSSEE ABOVE. In pain everyday.
Treatments
- Baclofen Working / Worked
- 20 mg pill 3x/day. I HAVE to have it or I stiffen up or have severe muscle spasms.
- Copaxone Somewhat Helpful
- I guess my MS isn't getting any worse. I don't know, but it can't hurt.20 mg/ 1 injection every day.
- LDN - Low Dose Naltrexone Considering
- SIGN ME UP! I really want to try anything that will show marked improvement. Ready to try more aggressive therapies.
- Neurontin Not Working
- Never worked, so I quit wasting my money on it.
- Novantrone Working / Worked
- SEE ABOVE.
- Physical Therapy Somewhat Helpful
- 2x/ a week. Love it!
- Prednisone Not Working
- All I noticed was a boost of energy for a couple of days. I tried it once.
- Provigil Working / Worked
- It does help with fatigue. 20 mg pills/ 3 pills every morning.
- Swank Diet Considering
- What's this?
- Swimming Working / Worked
- Water aerobics and swimming laps are great as long as the temp is not warm. 4 hours/ week.
- Symmetrel Not Working
- Didn't help so I quit spending money on it.
- Methotrexate Somewhat Helpful
- There currently is no treatment for primary-progressive. 2.5 mg/3 pills once a week
