    • About Me

"Life is not the way it's suppose to be. It's the way it is. The way you cope with it is what makes the difference." My husband was diagnosed with esphogeal cancer on July 20, 2008. We are coping with the help of our friends and family and especially with our pastor and church friends. Prayer has become a major force in our lifes and we continue to Praise the Lord and ask for His assistance.

      From kiltlady September 16

Hello friend, just jumped in here to see how you were doing....I am okay ...my son is as he has been and we hope to keep him stabilized as best as possible considering the demonic illness he has. It is hard not to stay down mentally when thinking of all his former possibilities and was "is" in actuality but I do my best and his brothers and friends are very supportive and include him in all he can take part. Send me a note when you can......my email is the same..hugs and blessings

Hi, i sent you an email perhaps it went into your spam/junk mail or perhaps you have been just too busy with life's events that you didnot see it or have time to answer..no problem....I just want to wish you a good week, sending some flowers to perk you up and let you know that you are not alone .....hugs and blessings to you. Write when you have a moment. I rarely get onto Daily Strength now...so many things to take care of here at the homefront...and it seems the older I get the longer it takes me to accomplish anything...ha ha!! God loves you..byeeee for now.

    • Close Esophageal Cancer

I am the spouse of an esophageal cancer patient. He was diagnosed on July 20, 2008.

      Treatments

      Chemotherapy Working / Worked
Got through this with a minimum of discomfort. No hair loss or loss of appetite. Fatigue was the only symptom.
      Radiotherapy Working / Worked
Other than a discoloration on the back, there were no side effects. Fatigue was present.
    • Close Schizophrenia

I am a parent of an adult son with this illness and have been dealing with it for some 20 years now. He won't take medication, nor any advice, or do anything positive to help him self. His appearance is horrible. He has an odor and wears the same torn, ragged, ill fitting clothing all the time. He repeats himself and definitely does not know the difference between being truthful or deceitful. We can not believe anything he tells us.

      Treatments

      Zyprexa Working / Worked
he never stayed with it long enough to know
