Close Bipolar Disorder
My first PDOC quickly said I was Bipolar II (without much testing). When I switched PDOC's, he told me he'd like to spend more time before he gave me any diagnosis. After months of seeing him, he has come to the definite conclusion that I have Bipolar II (bipolar "light"). I'm annoyed that I have this disorder, but at the same time it explains a lot. But I'm still annoyed about it. I guess that comes with the disorder, huh?
Treatments
- Abilify Somewhat Helpful
- It's been helpful in getting me in a better mood and feeling better. But it's also had me feel the urge to shop compulsively - which I have NEVER done. Now all I want to do is go to the mall. Of course, I restrain myself. I'm under control.
- Lamictal Not Working
- Did not work with me. The 1st pdoc kept raising the levels to see if it would work, and once she reached 600, she finally figured out it wasn't a medication compatible with me.
- Seroquel Not Working
- Seroquel was only taken ONE time - and I was so "out of it" and sleepy that I will never take it again.
- Cymbalta Working / Worked
- It seems to help me a lot... I guess because I am mildly bipolar and not moderately or severely bipolar? I dunno...

Open Family & Friends of Bipolar
Not only do I have Bipolar II, but I have a brother who is bipolar and a mother who is severely bipolar. So I know what it's like to live with people with the disorder.

Open Autism / Autism Spectrum
My son is currently being evaluated and is believed to have PDD-NOS. I couldn't find a PDD-NOS board so autism is the closest. He doesn't have Asperger's since he still doesn't talk and is over 2 years old. He is coming along with speech therapy but is still near a 1 year old speech level.

I have a 2 year old son - he was born in January of 2007. He may soon be diagnosed with PDD-NOS and has a fairly significant speech delay. I love him to pieces!!

- Currently taking 7.5 750 and it works but not as well as it used to (shoulder impingement and general chronic pain).
