Hello Jebias2001,
"NoMemory", SHaron was a friend of ours. She crusaded for CFS sufferers. She died while walking her dog in the woods earliier this year in March or April. The woods were her favorite place. Here dogs were her havorite companions.
She was a wonderfully supportive encouraging optimistic and thourally well educated woman with an incredablly detailed understanding of CFS.
We miss her lots.
Trawl her journal entries. Trawl her posts she was full of sound reasoning and understanding.
She died of a heart attach which was due to her CFS condition as I beleive.

Hi Jeb just wanted to second what Roses has posted, that is the very reason why I rarely post on the boards too. If you check my most recent journal you will see that I have posted a link to a clinic as I am uncertain whether to give it a go. Feel free to leave any comments there. I also appreciate your post. Jen
Thumbs Up
Hello Jeb. I just wanted to send you a note letting you know that I agree with what you wrote on the discussion post "quackery and such". I don't often read the discussions or comment on them because they can get pretty heated, but I wanted to let you know that I support everything that you had to say. Sorry that you received some defensive comments from others. Good job! I for one appreciate your post! Thanks!

Close Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
My CFS was triggered by food poisoning 10 yrs ago; within days I developed the "CFS flu" that wouldn't go away. I was diagnosed 4 mo later by a Rheumatologist. I am able to work FT and can do social things occasionally but have a low tolerance for exercise. I was once a runner & fitness instructor. Today, I take 7 meds daily and get acupuncture. I think of myself as a big dog on a short leash. But I try to be grateful for what I have and am still learning how to manage.
Treatments
- Acupuncture Working / Worked
- Helps greatly with pain mood and energy. Ive been going every three weeks for more than five years. My health insurance doesnt cover it though.
- Ambien Working / Worked
- 10 mg. I cant get to sleep or stay asleep without this med. The only downside is that it prevents me from waking up quickly. Also I sometimes sleep eat in the middle of the night!
- Concerta Working / Worked
- This is ritalin for adults. I take 27 mg daily; a higher dose made me jumpy. It does a great job of regulating energy mood and cogntive functions. No side effects.
- Elavil Working / Worked
- Low dose. Helps with sleep mood and pain. No side effects.
- Prozac Working / Worked
- Low dose. Works well with low doses of Elavil also an antidepressant for sleep and mood. No side effects.
