About Me
My wife has been diagnosed with CML and I wish to get some information about how other people (patients and their family) are coping with it. I have twin daughters 6 y.o and it all happened so quickly that I havent been able to grasp the consequences yet. Hope to hear more from the rest.

Close Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia (CML)
My wife was diagnosed with CML on 19th March and she was initially on Hydroxurea for 4 days while she was hospitalized and then she was switched to Gleevec. She started her Gleevec from the 24th March 2009. So far she has only felt a little tired, some swelling around eyes and nausea. Her WBC was 160,000 when admitted and now its falling (last check was 44,000). Is there anything I as the spouse need to do to ease her pain?
Treatments
- Gleevec Working / Worked
- Lethargy (possibly due to anemia), nausea, swelling in the lower part of the eyes
- Hydroxurea Working / Worked
- None noticed
