On 03/31/09 01:23 PM, mimi2peas My father was diagnosed 2 months ago with MDS. He went to the emergency after experiencing severe weakness and was found to be anemic. he was admitted and when they did his bloodwork they found that all of his blood counts were extremely low. They first thought he had to be bleeding internally somewhere. That was ruled out after numerous tests. After a couple of days, the doctor performed a bone marrow biopsy. The results showed he had MDS.
Treatments
- Blood Transfusion Not Working
- according to his blood couonts, the treatment is not working yet
