About Me
Im the most driven energetic person I know. But have been slowed down drastically by the diagnosis of Fibromyalgia this month. Ive been battling a huge laundry list of terrible symptoms since january, however, I think that I've actually had it for a lot longer, just not as strong. Im a Pre-Veterinary Medicine student, struggling to get through each day. I WILL NOT LET THIS ILLNESS STOP ME FROM MY GOALS. Everything is so new to me, im working hard to find the right treatments, get into physical therapy, and learn an entire new way to live my life. Im looking to meet any new friends, but especially to meet people locally. I welcome anyone that wants to get to know me, any advice, and any words of wisdom. I need all the help that I can get right now.

Youb are headed in the right way. Please stay with this website because there are alot of us that just found out that the pain we have is not from old age, we all at some point have trouble sleeping. When ever you need to talk there is always some one there to listen

Close Insomnia
I go 6 to 8 days without falling asleep for a second. My body will then "crash", which is when my entire body, even my jaw, will lock up. After laying there for a few hours unable to move, it will finally turn off and sleep for a few hours. Upon awakening, I will then endure another 6 to 8 days before it will happen again. since Jan 5 2009

i was diagnosed with ADHD at 3 years old. i was on ritalin for a few years and have been on adderall for about 15 years. I have it very bad, its hard to even drive without my adderall. unfortunately, ive been struggling with severe chronic insomnia since jan, and now only take my adderall when i have school. so the rest of the time im just in lala land thinkin, "oh look at this! oh look at that!"

Treatments
- Adderall Not Working
- Im not sure why this is here as a tx for fibro. I was diagnosed with ADHD at age 4, and have taken Adderall for many years. It does not do anything for my fibro except help me concentrate.
- Aqua Therapy Working / Worked
- I do whatever I can to get into a pool. So much of my pain just melts away. Trying to get into some actual therapy classes right now.
- Lyrica Somewhat Helpful
- This is the first med that I tried. I felt WONDERFUL when I was on it. However, there were 2 side effects: I felt even worse than before everytime it wore off, and I gained 10 pounds in the first week I was on it, and the added weight was making me feel even worse.
