Made it 23 years before I broke a bone. Now a new right foot. Been plumbing since high school now wondering if thats what I want to do. I found this group while researching bone spurs. I've had surgery now to remove the two inch spur I had growing off my stump

I’m With You
I know what you mean - I made it 35 years without breaking a bone and when I did I made sure it was a good one. Compound tib/fib Feb 06 and then I decided to amputate in Jan 08, It was a good decision and I havve no regrets. Welcome to the group and feel free to ask any questions on your mind

July 08 oncoming traffic made a left in front of me on my motorcycle. I locked up the bike and slammed into the suv sideways. I broke my elbow and tib fib on my right side. We tried to save my ankle and foot but in september the infection come out. it was time to amputate.
Treatments
- Physical Therapy Working / Worked
- OA physcal therapy working it hard trying to make my elbow work again and gaining my balance on my new foot
- Prosthetic Device Too Soon to Tell
- Im making this thing work the best I can. all in time i guess
- Skin Graft Not Working
- i have a skin graph on my stump. at the moment my skin is broke down there.
