i am a single mom of 18 year old son hair dresser but curently disabled due to narcolepsy and cataplexy. have suffered since the age of about 16 undiagnosed for 12 yrs.no histery in family. would like to meet people with this disorder no support groups in area.

i am 43 year old single mom of 18 year old son.i have had narcolepsy with cataplexy since the age of 16. undiagnosed for twelve years.iam curently disabled but worked as a hair dresser for many years.th e demand of my job and the use of stimulants finally took its tole un me and i applied for ssd. since then i feel depressed because even though iwas exausted most of the time iand had to push myself i loved my career and am still very talented at it.hoping to chat with others who have narcolepsy.
