I'm 9 months away from 40 and finally ready to take control of my own life. My surgery is scheduled for April 15th. My biggest concern is how long I need to be off work since I support myself and will admit to being a workaholic. I have three close friends who have had this surgery and they are a huge support for me. My family is not as supportive, they want me to succeed but they seem to think that it's easy to screw this up too which is why I need support from all arenas.
I'm looking for people to talk to with whom I am having similar life experiences. I'm single, self employed and 400 miles away from my family.
