blood thinners Mood
Thursday, November 5, 2009

Hey . Today I went to the doctor office and they said I will probabaly have to give myself a blood thinner shot for a few days after surgery. I know its no big deal but I hate shots. They talked about drain tubes that I had never heard about. So I'm 4 days away. I wonder if they give you something to calm you down while you wait for 2 hours before? I wonder what my feet will look like after about a month

lol...I know it gets so nerve racking now. Try to stay calm. They will give you something to calm you if you need it...just ask. The drain tube is not too much of a big deal, I had mine removed before leaving the hospital. It feels really weird when they pull it out but other than that no big deal. They will give you the blood thinner shots in the hospital at first and it does'nt hurt. There will be a lot of bruising though from where the shots are given...does not hurt just looks terrible, and they last for awhile. You will do fine. You will see your feet in no time. Good luck and God bless.
