I'm a 28 years old economist, recently married, would love to have 2 kids. I like swimming, yoga and crochet, movies and books. I live in Ecuador and I'm very close to my family. I have RA for 3 years now. I've been encouraged by my husband to research more about RA and to find people that feel like I do.

Close Rheumatoid Arthritis
I an 28 years old. I have had RA since age 25. I've been on Remicade for 2.5 years, with really good results until recently. i've had lots of infections and it doesn't seem to be working as good as before. I would love to catch a break, to forget about being sick and to be able to be young, enjoy myself and have kids someday.
Treatments
- Arcoxia Working / Worked
- This has been my regular painkiller. It works ok but the pain is sometimes too intense. At first it was enough but then I had to take it in combination with prednisone.
- Enbrel Working / Worked
- Worked beautifully for 3 weeks.
- Folic Acid Working / Worked
- I take folic acid supplements because I take methotrexate. I guess it's working.
- Methotrexate Somewhat Helpful
- I recently increased my dose of methotrexate. I think it's worked to contol inflamation, but it's kind of hard for my stomach.
- Prednisone Working / Worked
- I only take it when I have a flare. It really stops inflamation, but it makes me feel fat, heavy and puffy, I think it makes me retain water.
- Remicade Working / Worked
- Worked great for 2 years. I had to switch to Enbrel. Had a lot of side effects like low immune system - lots of infections.
