      I am a 28 year old female with Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis since 2001. I am not treating right now because I was scared to take the Methotrexate and I am tired of the greasy creams. They just made it red and painful, not gone. I am single and a single mom and was just looking for a support group. I hate all the questions I get about psoriasis. I have some on my face and thats the worse. I hate to show people my psoriasis. It has changed me alot and I just want to feel normal again.

      I have had Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis since 2001.I am currently thinking about taking Methotrexate. I have been 1 year with no tx at all but the pain is getting worse and my Rheum. said I now have 7 actively inflamed joints. I was prescribed MTX a year ago and refused from fear of side effects. I am a single mother/woman. Alot of it is covered by clothing, thank goodness. I am just looking for support.

      Treatments

      Betamethasone (Topical) Somewhat Helpful
      Worked pretty good. Greasy
      Coal Tar Somewhat Helpful
      Smelly hair but ok.
      Dovonex Somewhat Helpful
      Weekends only, Expensive
      Methotrexate Considering
      Scared!
      Phototherapy Not Working
      Made worse
      Triamcinolone Topical Somewhat Helpful
      Not strong enough
