Greetings, Recently I lost my mother and best friend. I've never really joined a group before except for Sparkpeople. While checking out this forum there was a question I wanted to contribute information. I'm a LPN working full time and I teach belly dance weekly. After that there's nothing left since the arthritis is making life more difficult. Oh yes I do have two kitties so there is love in my life.

Close Arthritis
Diagnosed with Psoriatic Arthritis about 3 years ago. Wish I could take NSAIDS. Have tried without success both Methotrexate and Enbrel. Currently on Humira with Prednisone bursts. Vicodin is used to tolerate the pain. Right now it's not really doing a great job.Although I wouldn't be able to function without it. I worry about my future. I turn 50 this year. For the first time in my fife I'm thinking about giving up dance, just because the pain is wearing me down.
Treatments
- Bextra Working / Worked
- Daypro Somewhat Helpful
- Can't take any NSAIDS. Some will give an immediate asthma attack. All create dyspepsia.
- Feldene Working / Worked
- Glucosamine/Chondroitin Not Working
- Never noticed a change while taking supplements. I wanted to. Just a lightening of the wallet.
- Ibuprofen Working / Worked
- Ketoprofen Working / Worked
- There was a time when I could take these types of drugs and not have any reaction. Can't take any NSAIDS. Some will give an immediate asthma attack. All create dyspepsia.
- Lodine Working / Worked
- Medrol Working / Worked
- Currently taking prednisone. Yes it works, but it's bad for the blood pressure and weight.
- MSM Not Working
- Took it with the Glucosamine/Chondroitin. Never noticed a change for the better
- Naproxen Somewhat Helpful
- Allergic to NSAIDS.
- Relafen Working / Worked
- Allergic to NSAIDS.
- Synvisc Working / Worked
- Yes I believe I have had 3 or 4 series of the injections in my right knee. And yes this did help. This was after surgery for a bucket handle meniscus tear.
- Tylenol Working / Worked
- Taking it in the Vicodin.
- Voltaren Working / Worked
- Too this with Cytotec again same as all the rest of the NSAIDS.
