My 6 year old son has alway been a "handful" I have finally taken the steps and took him to be evaluated. He has been diagnosed w/ ADHD and ODD. At this time we are just going to start treating the ADHD w/ concerta and see how that goes for now. Everyday is a constant struggle and disipline has always been a issue. I have a 3 month old daughter and sometimes just to keep the peace at home, I tend to give in to my son's demands. Any advice or words of encourgement from others would help out!

Hello, Welcome to One on One grief mentors. I noted that you joined, welcome. I know you lost your grandmother in Feb. I am so sorry, I remember when I lost my Nanny, she was my world. Would you like for me to find you a special mentor that can walk the journey of life with you... I try to match up similarities, but all have experience and time with grief. Let me know. Also, how is your son doing with Concerta? We had been talking about that. Stay in close contact with his teachers, they are the real measurement of how the meds are working. Type: Loss of a RelativeI lost my grandmother Feb.13, 2009. She was such a great person and more importantly my friend. I just am having such a hard time dealing w/ this because she was SO healthy and then out of nowhere she was diagnosed w/ Cancer and passed away at a hospice center only 7 weeks later. She only got to see my baby daughter 2 times and it breaks my heart.
