      Just reading your situation with the vats surgery. Have not had it very lucky that the chest tube worked. However my sister had surgery and sounds like what you described. She has staples in her chest i beleive, If you can it would be nice to talk to you. Thanks

      Feb - 2007 chest pain and shortness of breath on a walk. Pneumo diagnosed and sent home on oxygen. 4 days later had another attack and went to the ER. Was in hospital for 9 days. Series of 3 different size chest tubes did not work. Had VATS surgery, stapled hole in bleb and roughed up the lung with instrument. Ended up with 3 incisions from just below my left armpit around to my back. Still not fully back.

      Oxygen Working / Worked
      Did not work.
      Surgery Working / Worked
      Surgery seemed to go well. Ended up with 3 incisions from just under armpit around back. Due to where cut am still trying to gain back the range of motion inleft arm.
