    • About Me

Before my joints gave out, was into sports, scuba, flying my on plane. Water skiing, marshall arts. Also a Christian. I have a son who is 20 that we adopted from Bulgaria when he was 3. Until he was 15, he was the joy of my life. Now he causes me great sadness. I had to have him involuntarily committed 2 months ago with a diagnosis of depression with psychosis (Schizophrenia). He is also adversely affecting my relationship with my wife.

Been on 1 patch changed q48h. Dose had increased to 75mcg/hr with 3-10/325 Percs for breakthrough. Now back down to 12mcg/q48h and rarely 1/2 Perc. This is the best treatment I was able to find. Thankfully, after four years, my pain is decreasing, but still present. I hope to be off all narcs by end of summer. Update: I've been off of Fentanyl for 2 weeks now. Backpain is a bit worse without it. Getting by on 3 10/325 a day Percocets.

    • Close Depression

My son has Schizoeffective disorder and depression. 2 months ago had to have my son involuntarily committed for pyschosis (schizophrenia) I'm on narcotics for low back pain for 4 years from a pain management doctor. 1.5 years ago had encephalitis in ICU on a ventilator. Recently lost ($1.6M) due to collapse of real estate market. Beginning to shake this funk I'm in. Beginning to accept things as they are and back to decreasing all meds. Plan to be off all narcotics by end of summer.
