Yes, Gout is really painful. I am on week 3 I think. It is almost gone but it is still red and I have the 'nose growing out of my elbow' look going on still. LOL My Rheum said that eventually the new med will make it look normal again. The end of it still has fluid in it but she said those are uric acid crystals and it will go away.
I read up on the Allopurinol and every site said that 90% of the people who go on it will stop taking it because at first it will cause the Gout to return , sometimes in many joints at once, while it is ridding the body of the uric crystals. But so far, so good. I don't feel any pain coming in any other joint like the pain I had to start with in the elbow. It comes on really fast though so we'll see. I hope I am one of the 10% that stays on it and has no trouble. Thanks for commenting on this! Have a great day my friend! :) Cheryl-

Hi I have had SLE for yrs but got a diagnosis 7yrs ago. Thank God. It has not ben easy but it has not been terrible. What I have noticed is alot of sinus problems as I deal with myself, I have a perferated septrum from bad sinus, and it is not good, among fatigue and pain dont want to go into detail but whats up with the sinuses??

My Story is that Im always frozen, but worse than that ive developed a hole in my septrum its bad, I also have Lupus, but that nose is a constant reminder im messed up!! I did start a new med this yr, and it has helped(Norvasc) or my damm nose would havefallin off everytime I look at yself I expect to see Micheal Jackson LOL. my feet turn blue in a hot tub, but hat is the only way to thaw out, thats my story!! Sharon

- Norvasc Somewhat Helpful
- It really helped although I still experience alot of sinus trouble and im not as cold I would say its a good drug a very good drug I dont think I have any side effects.
