I was born in Green Bay, Wis. I have 3 older brothers. My Mother died when I was 6 of leukemia and my father remarried 3 months later. I had moved to California a year before and soon began attending the public school nearby. I went to community college and state college. I dropped out of college when I got pregnant. (I started college late.) I was diagnosed with Bipolar II Disorder in 2005 and have had a slow but positive recovery.

Close Bipolar Disorder

I was diagnosed with Bipolar II in 2005 after a psychotic outbreak. I had been diagnosed with Major Depression beforehand, but the Mania had gone undetected. I have schitzoaffective disorder as well.

The magic pill for me. Much better than Risperdal.

Lamictal Working / Worked

Works well with Depakote

Lithium Working / Worked

At first it evened out my mood so much I couldnt feel a thing! But eventually my personality broke through and I could smile again. **Still my sense of humor is nothing like it once was. Now going off it because of weight gain, slowed cognition and aggrivated acne.

Risperdal Not Working

Doesn't treat Schotzoaffective psychosis.

Zonegran Considering

My Psych says Ill lose weight with this one. I've read it does. It makes me mentally dull or "foggy".

Zyprexa Not Working

I was given this and Risperdal at it's maximum dose becuse the psychosis just didn't want to treat. But Invega seemed to knock it out where this one and Risperdal couldn't. WARNING: Zyprexa is a real weight gainer.
