Close Fibromyalgia
Had two failed back ops (L4 & L5 ruptured) 93 & 94 (L5 & L6 ruptured) Diagnosed FM 03. Now found out have probably suffered since second op. Had a most of my lower back muscles removed due to fibrosis (wasn't told until a year later) Also have Hypermobility Syndrome, lots of sprains due to being only 7 stone nothing.
Treatments
- Lexapro Somewhat Helpful
- Helps with anxiety and depression most of the time due for review in June. Still have really bad anxiety
- Senokot Working / Worked
- Do the job but can be very harsh so regulate myself too many has adverse effect
- Fentanyl Working / Worked
- Do help to get me started in the morning but they take their time. Change patch every 3 days tend to lose strengh on the change over.
- Mobic Working / Worked
- back up for fentanyl patch. Not sure it does much really. I still have a lot of pain
- Restoril Working / Worked
- Give me the most sleep time 3 hours without disturbance have tried different but don't get any more or less sleep, but these stop the bad nightmares I have.
Close Chronic Pain
Had 2 back ops to try and releive pain in 93 & 94 both classed as failed ops. Infact made matter worse by all accounts. Having FM doesn't help much either.
Treatments
- Mobic Working / Worked
- I use this with fentanyl 50ml patches but to be honest it just makes the pain bareable.
Open Tinnitus
Only just been diagnosed with Tin, but have FM for 15 years or more. The hospital can't find anything wrong with hearing and told me to sleep with the tv on so it doesn't disturbe my sleep, stupid man. No meds at yet for the Tin but am due to go to docs for my yearly review for FM. Will check to see if there is a conection
