  Thank you Kathy. I spoke with my mother's doctor today. She spoke with the medical examiner. They seemed to think that it was natural causes and she said I shouldn' t blame myself. I could only work half a day. I left and picked up the death certificates at the funeral home. The funeral director spent time talking to me. He had a similar experience with his mom and spent time second guessing decisions too. Its a bad place to put yourself in. I tried so hard to make things better but it wasn't enough. I cannot control this. I wish I knew enough to have the chance to tell her how much she meant to me. I pray she knew. I made an appt today to speak with psychologist next week and I'll attend the group grief counseling available through the funeral home. Everyone's been very nice but I'd give anything to have my mom back. She always forgave me my bad attitudes and frustrations. She understood me. I hope and pray there is something after this life that gives her peace and happiness she so deserved. Take care...

  Hi Kathy, thanks for checking in. I went to church today with a friend. I'm not catholic but it was very nice of her to invite me to their church. She had the priest read my mother's name and ask the people to pray for us. Then we went to breakfast and talked. I came home and put flowers at mother's grave. I was the only one out there and it was a nice day. I cried a lot. A neighbor invited me over to watch the Emmys. I lasted until 10pm now I'm back. Going to work tomorrow. Things are going to have to change at work. Michigan's economy sucks but I'm not killing myself at this job anymore. Never again. I took out my stress from this job on my mother and that's another issue I have. I read about your son. I'm so sorry. You are a true survivor. My friend from church lost her daughter of 22 a few years ago. Terrific kid. 22 yrs old in medical school. They have no idea how she died. Its very hard for them. Death is a horrible process. I don't understand any of it. I am going to try and call her doctor's tomorrow. General physician and Pulminary spec. I don't know if its acceptable but I'd like to know if I did everything I could for her and what stage of the copd they considered her at? I think it was ending stage. Usually once they are diagnosed they last another 5 years. Which is basically what happened. I still very much need her in my life. I don't know how I am going to manage. Take care.
