Close Menopause
First started having heavy periods,hot flashes,cold spells,and extra hair growth all over my cheecks jaws,and on my sides of my neck that were like peach fuzz.Went to Nurse/Practioner,did hormone profile,put me on Prometrium 100 mlgs. Thought that would do,it didn't. Raised it to 200 mlgs. helped some but hair growth got worse. upper and lower lips have fuzz and have long black terminal hair growing. Another check and she said I low thyroid medicine,heard it would cause more hair growth.
Treatments
- Progesterone Working / Worked
- Worked some,but now have itchy skin on forehead that is getting extra black terminal hair between eyebrows and looks like on forehead as well dont wont to take new prescride med. for low thyroid,scared it will cause more hair growth.
Close Hypothyroidism
Had all hormones checked. I have itchy dry skin on forehead with hair growing where it shouldn't.Also have hair growing in other place. Low energy drive. Test show I have low thyroid. Doctor wants me to take medicine.
Treatments
- Synthroid Considering
- Scared to take it. Need more info.
