About Me
i am 25. i have 2 kids 7 & 3. My tailbone is straight not curved like it's supposed to be so i literally sit on the end of my spine. Which means while i rode horses from age 10 to 16 i pretty much beat on my spine. That cause my DDD to progress rapidly. I feel my kids end up suffering the most because somedays i can barely get outta bed. I wish to be better so i can play outside with them and roll around on the ground instead of just watching my husband play with them....it kills me inside. Thankfully I am seeing a wonderful Dr. and a properly medicated so i can function enough on my goods days to do the things a stay home mom would....granted that means 15min of cleaning 15min of rest RINSE AND REPEAT hehe. i am now waiting to see a neurosurgeon and see what treatment options are left since i have tried everything my PCP has suggested.....

Hope you're feeling better? My only caution is to suggest you avoid surgery if you can. Traction and PT were great helps for me. First appearing to be sciatica, I had to have an essential spinal fusion/decompression because of detached neural arches (L5 fusion-> L4, L5, S1).

I have DDD, loss of lordosis, and protrusions @ L4 & L5.
Treatments
- Chiropractic Adjustment Not Working
- Acually made it worse
- Epidural Injection Not Working
- didnt help at all
- Fentanyl Not Working
- didn't work well, gave me migrains and would stay on even with extra tape
- Flexeril Not Working
- tried, just made me sleep
- Heat Working / Worked
- what can i say it helps....some
- Hydrocodone Working / Worked
- used to take for break thru pain but was changed to the OxyIR because of the acetametphine(sp) levels
- Ibuprofen Working / Worked
- I Take this with the OxyIR to help it hang in my system longer
- Morphine Somewhat Helpful
- it help with the pain but i was always sooo tired
- Oxycodone Working / Worked
- i take both the ER and the IR (for break thru)of this an it is my life saver
- Physical Therapy Somewhat Helpful
- it would help for about an hour or so after...

- i would get some relief for alittle while after but it wasnt worth the $

I guess my biggest problem is..being jucged? if im in a store and someone looks at me for longer than a glance my mind starts to race_why are they looking at me...and a 1000 bad this zoom through my mind just writing this scares me..will people think im weird? even though i know u all go though something simalar-ish this doesnt even sum it up i guess i should should do a better intro ..maybe..ill try just hitting the send button now is freaking me out!!!!!!!

- it made me to sleepy (have small child)for me to be able to take long enough to tell if it helped

- it helps when it is really bad or if it is aching from weather

- though i have to take a large amount it's(+oxycontin) are the only things that make life livable
- Methadone Working / Worked
- it did help with the pain but gave me such vivid nightmare i had to stop taking it

- it helped with the pain but i couldn't stay awake they made me so drowzy
- Neurontin Working / Worked
- it helped with the shooting pain down my legs for awhile

- oxycontin and hydrocodone are the only things that make it so i function

- did exersices which didn't do much but irritate it more..and i did ultasound massage which i would feel a little relief for and hour or so afterwards.

I just got this diagnosis in 09/10. MY tailbone is also uncurved they tell me so i sit on the end of my spine causing compression. while through my early teenage years i rode horses competetivly.....further punishing my spine causing faster degeneration.
