      From lizzy764 Saturday

I wanted you to know, your last post motivated me to get the ball rolling on a local Chronic Pain and Invisible Illnesses support group I've talked about for over a year. We need each other, and it should be real good to have some face-to-face time with people just like you and me. Wish you lived near by ;)

Sorry for all your pain, I truly am. All kidding aside.
I had my hair trimmed, do you think it's too short?
      love ya,

    • UR Welcome

      From redheadedgranny September 20

Gee, I didn't see that you were online, we could have chatted!
You know if I bend forward and all my wrinkles come together and I smile really big, it looks like I have dimples? Yep!!! Not bad for a balding 104 yr. old woman wearing Ruby Shoes.

      Heat Not Working
It only helps a litle bit and rarely.
      Marijuana Somewhat Helpful
Marijuana is realy a wonderful alternative to opiates and other heavy narcotics. It doesn't stop or even 'help' neuropathic pain. But it does relax me and it also helps with my appitite. I stopped using it because of legal issues and the pain clinic I am with now requires urine testing and any illegal drugs and you're out! But I stopped using years ago on my own for personal reasons. I wish the 'powers that be' would start to see things less in black and white and more in shades of grey.
      Meditation Somewhat Helpful
As long as a pain spike doesn't break through I can get a little inner peace. But, as I get older every time I move or do anything the pain just escalates to unbearable.
      Methadone Somewhat Helpful
I've been on 50mg x 4 for years. It's the only drug that I can have more control over amounts and when and how I take it. It has it's problems as anyone who has been on it for any length of time knows all too well.
      Morphine Somewhat Helpful
I've used or tried just about every drug out there. At one time I was taking 1000 mg MS twice a day and then down to 100mg twice a day and everything inbetween. All in all the meth. worked better for me.
      Nerve Blocks Not Working
The first nerve block (1973?) sent my pain into the outer limits and I passed out during the procedure after screaming and yelling for 15 or 20 minutes. My NeuroSurgeon was a real asshole!
      Neurontin Not Working
This med was one of the first I used when I started seeking treatment for pain - anout 12 years ago. I hated the way it made me feel.
      Oxycodone Working / Worked
This is my breakthrough med. It helps when I stack it on top of the Meth. But, still, nothing stops or eases the pain - just loops me out enough not to care as much. That's not entirely true if I take enough I do have less pain, I just can't do anything, can't remember anything and don't care about anything.
      TENS Not Working
Never got any relief with external or enternal TENS.
