About Me
My husband George has been DX with PF Jan.09 Previously he has had 6x in patient with COPD/emphasmya. We have spent about 193 days at the hospital since 10/07. He worked for Ford as a Metal Pattern Maker and became disable due to a severe diving injury in '74. He is a 20 yr. member of AA. I work as a Speech Therapist until 89 when injured at work. We have a non-profit org. W/the help of b-ball player we put a smile on the face of a child. Now he can't do that.

Close Pulmonary Fibrosis
After being in and out of the hospital 6x since 10/07 my husband George was dx with PF in Jan. He has COPD/eymp. stop smoking 2yr. and has been in AA 20 years. He is 63 and now he is 134lbs 10 he has gained in the last two weeks. He was 165 . All he does is sleep and go to Drs. Which he is very angry with. He calls them the God's that practice medince. Emotionally he is in the anger stage physical we believe he is better BUT another bout of pnemonia might be his last. Hospital again NO WAY!
Treatments
- Prednisone Not Working
- George had neck surgery 10/07 1st pneumonia 2wks later. Every time he swallows wrong he gets pnenmonia..Jan. 09 we were told he has 1 1/4 in of none scarred lung tissue from aspestosis or PF .
