Glad you decided to reach out and write something on the message board. I am also still a rookie at dealing with this--just found out on 3/6. I have wonderful family and friends, and their support has been amazing, but I find this site helps me the most--just knowing that other people truly experience the same physical and emotional rollercoaster helps me feel less alone in this. Do you still have the vest? I'd never heard of that before. Are they going to do an implant? I hope that whatever treatments they are using, you are finding some symptom relief.

Close Heart Failure
Hello, 47 male here, came down with a bad cough and shortness of breath in Nov. 08. Went into the hospital on Jan. 02, '09. EF then was 10-15% went into VTAC while in the hospital. After 10 days they sent me home with a wearable defibrillator (life vest)from LIFECOR. Anyone ever have one of these? Been reading this forum for awhile but have never replied before. Would like some support. I'll give what I can.
