I have quit smoking for over a month now. I plan on losing over 60 pounds. We have an addition to our already large family of 7 who is annie which now makes 8.

Dearest Annie, very sorry on your problem. I know how scary this is when they Dx you with something. Knowing is a blessing; you can get a lot of information on Google about your condition. Just arthrities and RA is 2 different things and they have not much in common. If this is Arthrities, comes with territory (after age 25 we all experience bone change and all of us get this in a different places), but RA is auto immune disease and since I have severe case of RA (my Arthtiries are very bad since I am 19, but this is least of my problems) and I am on a lot of meds for this. Did they put you on any kind RA meds? Like Meth (chemo therapy drug) or Enbrel shots, IV Orencia infusions, Prednisone? And if not, why not? You always can ask your Dr all these questions after you do your own research. When you know enough about it, when you will work on acceptance of your new life you will feel so much better! We all are here for you when you need us; please don't hesitate. Meanwhile I give you a nice gentle hug, sweet heart... and remember: life goes on and life is so beautiful with all our issues, with canes and wheel chairs... Close Arthritis
I have been diagnosed with arthritis. I think that it is rhumatoid.(spelling). I am scared because I have little to no strength in my thumbs, and in all my fingers is getting harder to maneuver them. I am worried.
Treatments
- Naproxen Working / Worked
- I take 500 mg. of naproxen daily starting yesterday. It worked in my joints pretty good yesterday but not as good as today.
Close Parenting Big Kids (5-8)
I have a wonderful child. She is going to be 5, so I would like to join this group because she is older than her age.
Treatments
- Education (School) Working / Worked
- Keeping her in school occupies her day, and she takes a nap there when she doesn't at home. She has almost learned to read there.
- Listening Working / Worked
- The book How to talk so your kids will listen and listen so your kids will talk is a highly recommended book, by me.
- Patience Working / Worked
- it is definately working
