Looking to make new friends and curious of others who've used alternative therapies for these diseases. Trying some myself and would like to swap experiences with others. My symptoms are considered mild compared to some others on this forum. Feel I had to quit my job as researcher in biotech (rheumatoid arthritis and SLE) because of the stress/pain from symptoms. Looking to start a new career, focus on my health (mental and physical), and hopefully start a family soon.

Thank you for the prayers. I am desparately in need of them.
Hi I have a new profile it is ICish and I will send you a friend request. I have been busy all summer planning and packing we relocated from Boston to Austin TX
Thanks for your friend request! Hope you're well. I've only just seen your reply to my "looking for new friends" post in the Social Anxiety support group but I just wanted to thank you for it. that's exactly how I feel a lot of the time reading some profiles! Though it's not good to make comparisons I think we all do it to an extent and it's worse if we're shy and feel that people aren't interested in befriending us.
I'm sorry to read about the physical problems you've been suffering. I don't really know about alternative therapiss but I hope you can find something that helps you to cope with the pain.
Hope you have a good week, write to me whenever you want to.
Take care, Steve
Thanks for the prayers. I hope you are well.
ohhhhh thank you so much for your kind words and advice. I really appreciate. What you said totally make sense to me. I get soooo scared everytime someone is sick, I hate it when they come to work sick and my friend that sits next to me is sick ALL the time. But truly what you said about the flares, cause these past few weeks have really been bad.
Well I hope you are well, take care and thank you again.
hugs,
paige
I was diagnosed with MCTD 1.5 years ago. My symptoms are joint/muscle pains, fatigue, raynaud's, swollen lymph nodes, esophagus probs. My rheumatologist is recommending me to take plaquenil since the diagnosis. I am searching for alternative treatments to try first.
Had hyperthyroidism then became hypothyroidism (Hashimoto's) 2.5 years ago.
Started about a year ago after MCTD diagnosis.
blood mucus in stool with no other symptoms. went for colonoscopy and had ulcers in colon. treated with asacol. Treated for H.pylori infection in past.
Always been extremely shy.
