Thanks for the hug! I am glad you enjoyed it. I am not sure how often they update the shows though.

Thank you for the flowers Pam!

Thanks for your hug and your journal comment. I'm definitely overdoing things, but only a couple of days left before I can relax. I'm thankful I have the energy, motivation and relief from most everything that's troubling. Hugs, d

Happy to be your friend. Did you ever get to the bottom of your complications? My aunt, who has RA, had Felty's syndrome years ago, but I thought she had elevated WBC. I had my spleen removed in April, and my WBC shot up to 23, from a usual 7.0 to 8.0. I back to normal, by now. hugs, doug

Thank you for the encouragement....and that was a good perspective about the children. Like you said...it's that squeamish feeling just thinking about it.
Thanks again

Close Rheumatoid Arthritis
Diagnosed with RA in 1996. In remission for 10 years until a drastic drop in my White Blood Count showed additional problems. After 2 years, the docs are finally agreeing they believe I have Felty's Syndrome- a rare complication of RA. It is so rare that most of my docs have never treated anyone with it.
Treatments
- Arava Working / Worked
- I have been on this since Feb 09 and it seems to be working for the joint pain. But not helping with the low WBC count.
- Enbrel Considering
- Went on it for a month this past spring, but got off when I developed a deep skin cyst infection. My PC doc wants me to try it again once all of my infections clear up.
- Folic Acid Working / Worked
- Worked well along with Methotrexate for 2 years.
- Methotrexate Working / Worked
- Worked for 18 months- then I developed a low white blood cell count with no improvement so doc took me off it. Worked well while I was on it. Very few side effects..
- Plaquenil Working / Worked
- Worked great for 10 years. No side effects. Just had to go for eye exams every 6 months. When I had a bad flare up, doc replaced it with Methotrexate & Folic Acid.
- Prednisone Working / Worked
- Worked well when I had a bad flare up. Primary care doc put me on 60 mgs a day- alot! Took RA doc 18 months to get me off it! Side effects- night sweats, wakeful sleeping with lots of energy.
- Tylenol Working / Worked
- Works from time to time, but Advil (Ibuprophen) works better.
