About Me
Well it official, NO One in my family has PKD. So now I am on a mission to see just how I can stay healthy and try to keep a somwhat normal life. My husband of 19 yrs has been great understanding everything that I have been going through as well as our children who are 18 and 14. I just hope and pray that I did not pass this on to them. But I guess time will tell, because we are not having them tested untill they show signs.(Dr.'s request) So they won't be labeled for insurance purposes. So I hope for all of us with PKD, they find a cure, help, relief and or anything else to offer a piece of mind to those who have to cope with this disease. God Bless Everyone.

Hi my name is celine i also have PKD i was diagnosed 6 years ago and have so much pain, that i cant even function i am on 2 different pain meds and constantly in the hospital for infections and cat scans.. Hopefully you will get something for the pain cuz that does help a little bit not much.. This disease can really depress you and is really very painful i never sleep a full 8 hours cuz of back pain and pressure due to kidneys being so big they press up on my lungs to where i can barely breathe m in shower all the time to help with the pain.. Close Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD)
As of March 27 2007, I was dxs with PKD. I am still having a lot of tests done right now. I guess I am one of the "lucky" ones that have a gene mutate, because no one in my family has ever have any type of kidney disease. I'm also still learning everything I can to help myself from going nuts.
