About Me
I'm a first year master's student, getting a MM in Music theory and violin performance and pedagogy. I play in a few different bands and love to do improvisatory work on my violin. I've been struggling with endometriosis for several years, and am currently coming to terms with the fact that I am now not only in debt for my education, but also for surgery that did not cure my endo...

heyy... thank you for checking in on me its so nice to know people are there for you.. i went to Toronto on the 8th of June and met with the thoracic surgeon and he found some more tissue on my Ct scan... so now he is doing all my tests over again, so i have to go back for a CT scan, MRI, Meet with an OBGYN and then he thinks i might be having stress on my heart from all of this so i have to get and echo done on my heart down there and also have some pulmonary test, hes also re-doing my Bronchial scope in Aug, so in one way i am kind of frustrated because i have had all these teats before but they want to do them over and go over everything before they cut me open. so after my Aug appt i think hes going to let me know what hes planning on doing. he says he wants to find exactly where the endo is and that way they can go in quick and blade it off the lungs. so its just being patient and getting everything done. im so sorry that you have to pay for your meds and everything down there, and your not getting any help from your doctors, i dont know what its like to pay for my meds because i live in canada so we have everything covered, but un helpful doctors, i know exactly what that is like i had that for 6 years and every doctor thought i was crazy, but finally one doctor helped me and now everything is looking up. me and my boyfriend are doing alot better, i feel alot of stress lifted because im not worried about the care i am in anymore. before i met with them i was scared that they were going to say i can't help you because i have had alot of that. so now that everything is rolling and treatment is coming fast, im just alot happier and at ease and that has helped our relationship so much.... thank you so much for being there for me... if you ever need anyone to talk to im here. i am supposed to lose my drug coverage here because im 21 and i was not going to start school because of all of this, but my doctor said to go to school and keep my drug coverage because of my up coming surgeries and he wants me to continue my life and not put it on hold anymore so im going to school this yr when i have taken 2 yrs off of college because of the lung problems i have had because of the endo... so im really excited... but if i didnt go my danazol is like 400 per month and i would not be able to afford that, but if lupron is going to help you, i know its alot but it is so worth it if your going to get better from that... i wish you all the best... take care and i hope things start to look up for you, i know i lost hope for a really long time and now i have hope again that this will soon end, and its been an amazing feeling, soo i hope everything works out for you... take care hun* im here for you if you need anything =*) thanks for being there for me it means so much to me.
Get Well Soon!
i see your not feeling well...so just wanted to send you a little love =*)... i know what its like and even tho we have endo in different parts of our body i still know the feeling just in a different area.... i hope u get better soon.... are your doctors treating you well and helping you out alot??... i reallly hope soo* take care hun*

Close Endometriosis
I've been battling with endometriosis for 12 years. I'm 26, in grad school, not married, and scared that I can't have kids (my doctor told me I will probably be infertile in a few years.) I just would like to talk to others who understand...
Treatments
- Aygestin Considering
- Extended-Cycle Birth Control Working / Worked
- Did work, but made me crazy. I will never do that again.
- Femara Considering
- Mirena Somewhat Helpful
- Works somewhat. Decreased pain incredibly, however still have lesions, and endometriomal cysts on my ovaries. Had to get surgery. But the Mirena has made it so that I am able to function daily.
- Surgery Somewhat Helpful
- Had a lap about a month ago. Now the pulling pains are gone, but my period was pretty rough- it felt like my abdomen was burning. The fatigue is already back, as are the wonderful 2 + week periods...
Close Insomnia
Treatments
- Ambien Somewhat Helpful
- Trazodone Working / Worked
- Elavil Working / Worked
- this worked wonderfully but caused severe dental decay... So Ive had to stop taking it and am back to being sleepless again
- Cymbalta Not Working
- does the opposite!
- Melatonin Working / Worked
- works well just have to take anther one after about 4 hours
- Lunesta Working / Worked
- Helps me fall asleep, and stay asleep. However, if I take it for more than 4 days in a row, I become suicidial and hallucinate. So, overall not worth it... On to find a new treatment.
