Close Thyroid Cancer
Type: Papillary CarcinomaI was diagnosed with thyroid cancer last month. My endo told me how lucky I was and gave me the name of a surgeon and told me to call her after I had my thyroidectomy. I regret not having taken control over the situation. Everyone said just get it done. I wasn't sure I wanted a total thyroidectomy but nobody seemed willing to discuss any other options and everyone pushed me to just get it done.

- The surgery was horrifying wish I had waited. After I got out of the hospital my arms and legs went numb and I couldnt open my hands.I was back in the hospital getting calcium IV 3 days after surgery.I have some synthroid I was taking before surgery and I started taking it again because they havent given me anything else and my bp dropped to 60 over 40.
