About Me
I was misdiagnosed with fibromyalgia in January 2008, 13 years after my first symptoms and numerous doctor visits. I was diagnosed with sarcoidosis in May 2009, after I changed doctors and complained of symptoms that are not typically associated with fibro. I am being treated with prednisone and slowly being transitioned to methotrexate. Overall, I feel better than I have felt in 14 years. I do have some side effects from the medication that I have to deal with, but so far my improvement outweighs the side effects. I have a husband and daughter and I work full-time.

Close Sarcoidosis
I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia in January 2008. After symptoms became uncharacteristic for that illness, I changed docs and recently was told by new doc that sarcoidosis is tentative new diagnosis, until chest x-ray and biopsy are complete. I would like to learn more about this condition from others.
Treatments
- Prednisone Too Soon to Tell
- I've been on prednisone for 2 days, so it's way too soon to tell. but, so far side effects are mostly swelling. i'm very scared by diagnosis, so other things, like rapid heart beat, higher than normal blood pressure may be from anxiety.
