      Hey- 20 -30 minutes is great for a start. I dont think I'd go much more than that either. I used to love riding bikes. But its been a long time and traffic in Phoenix is way too scary- I love the idea of the bridge ride- take photos!!!! Be safe and have fun- your breathing is bound to get better.

      i have had sarcoidosis for 26 years. i have had all the treatments, including prednisone and methotrexate. i have breathing problems, mimicking asthma, and sleep apnea. migraines,restless leg and a benign kidney tumor add to the mis.

      Treatments

      Methotrexate Working / Worked
      side effects of nausea and fatigue. did it work? you can't tell by me.
      Prednisone Working / Worked
      it worked for the time period i used it, but i can no longer tolerate steroids. i have excruciating bone pain when i take it.
    • Close Sleep Apnea

      diagnosis of central sleep apnea for 1 year. cpap a problem. bipap working better, but not totally. i still sleep sporadically, at best.

      CPAP Somewhat Helpful
      after 1 year, i still take the mask off most nights. i also wake with headache most days.
    • Open Migraine Headaches

      my migraines started 15 years ago. for years nothing helped. now, i still get migraines, but i have a fabulous medication - axert.

      it works every time and there are virtually no side effects. i can count on this medication every time....
    • Open Restless Legs Syndrome

      many years ago, my knee and ankle joints started bothering me as i tried to sleep. it took about 5 years and many different kinds of docs to finally find out that i have restless leg. my ferritin level was very low, so i have had 5 infusions. although this helped, i still have bouts of restless leg, having to do with lack of sleep.

      it works for the most part but i have the side effect of wanting to shop....most people want to gamble...i tried to give this up but then i dont sleep and the process continues...no sleep...more restless leg.
    • Open Macular Degeneration

      my husband has wet macular degeneration. he was diagnosed in late 2001. up to that point, he had been an avid reader. he has lost his ability to drive, and he must stand directly in front of the 42 in tv in order to make anything out. he is retired now, and is having some trouble getting used to his lack of sight.

      Lucentis Working / Worked
      if the lucentis had been available in 2001, my husband would not have lost most of the vision in both eyes.

      I HAVE NOT BEEN DIAGNOSED WITH CANCER YET. I ONLY HAVE HAD MY FIRST ABNORMAL MAMMOGRAM, WITH CLUSTER MICROCALCIFICATIONS. I AM GOING FOR MAGINIFICATION MAMMOGRAM TOMORROW, AND AM A LITTLE NERVOUS.

      My new goal for quitting is this: I want to know how I feel without cigarettes. This just might work. I want to be a new person, who is not just a non-smoker, but one whose mindset is as if I never smoked. This just might work.

      had big problem with side effects, but I will try again.

      I have them, but have not used them yet...

      i have had bouts of depression at times throughout my life, but this latest bout has lasted for over a year now. i have good times, but right now i am stressed to the breaking point at home and at work.
