About Me
I am currently a nursing student in at a small private Catholic college in NW OH, and work as a Nurse Tech at a small acute-care hospital. I was born and raised a small-town chick, and thoroughly enjoy it! My user name comes from both my current and (hopefully!) future profession, and even though I LOVE what I do...somedays it can make you want to tear your hair out! I am a soon-to-be competitive cyclist, and my bike is a three-way tie for love of my life (Bikes, nursing, and the boyfriend!)

Yah, the group is pretty quiet because it's so small, but I'd like to get as many nurses as possible to join, since I DEFINITELY believe that nurses and nursing students need a lot of support. Thanks for joining! Again, always here to help you or to help you study. :)

I am a 25 yr. old NURSING STUDENT! I am going into my last year in the Fall, (I am currently a Junior), and will have completed my BSN in FOUR YEARS! (Very hard to do!) I decided to join this site after joining the requisite FaceBook/MySpace that every college student has, but I wanted a little something more out of an online community. After reading about DailyStrength in Womens Health, I decided to give it a go. Any other adult nursing students out there, feel free to give me a holler!
Treatments
- Support from Friends & Family Working / Worked
- My friends are primarily soon-to-be nurses that are classmates, or my two best friends that are coincidentally married to one another and expecting a baby in the fall. The mommy-to-be graduated last May, and has been a wonderful source of encouragement, tips, and tricks. I HIGHLY recommend getting together with a tight group of fellow nursing friends, and kicking it together, whether it be studying, cooking, or just laughing. It HELPS A LOT!!!
Close Depression
I am currently not suffering from any sort of depression, but I have several loved ones that are. in fact, one has recently been discharged from a Psych Unit after spending 9 days of treatment for Bipolar Disorder, Depression, and Anxiety. I thought this looked like a good group to join b/c everyone seems so supportive, and maybe I can learn a thing or two to pass along to those in my life dealing with their own depressions.
