Hi, I am a mother of two sons, Jason and Todd. Jason went to be with the Lord almost three years ago after an aweful motorcycle accident. I miss him everyday but know one day I will see him again. He was such a blessing and a very special young man. I guess all mothers feel that way! I have been married for almost 34 years to a very special man. He is a minister and also works at our local hospital. This illness that seems to consume my life now in so many ways, just started in November. I have been in and out of the hospital since then. Evidently, I have pancreas divisum and from reading I guess will be something I will have to deal with the rest of my life. Life can throw some curbs sometimes and it seems that especially since we lost our Jason we have been thrown quite a few. Fortunately through it all will continue to draw closer to God instead of pulling away. Blessing to all and I thank God for this site. I have learned alot from it!

Hi Taboo, I am sorry your not feeling well, but know that this site has a lot of information on it. I am glad though to meet you. I also have pain on my left side, the doctor hasn't said anything about it yet. I do know that my doctors did mention in the beginning that other organs can be effected by this horrid disease. Thinking of you. I told a friend last night that my frustration is turning into reality with this sickness. They told me my stend fell out and they wanted to postpone the next surgery to slice the duct again. I hope I can drag it out. I am having a hard time digesting just about everything.

Prayer
I have pancreas divisum to. I just found out 2 months ago after being very ill from taking sulfa in an antibiotic. I had been sick after a gallbladder removal for almost 2 years maybe even symptoms I didnot know about throughout my life. The did a MRCP 2 months ago and found the divisum. I am heading for my first ERCP next Wednesday. I pray it comes out okay. Good luck to you to!

Hi! I am new here and new with this experience. I am a 53 year old woman who has been very healthy and active all her life and suddenly just this past November, 2009 started experiencing pain in abdomin and a difference in bowel function. I thought of colon cancer since my younger brother just survived that but they sent me to UVA and told me I had pancreas divisum and just had a pancreatitis attack. I have had 2 ERCPs since then and 4 attacks since November. No Fun!!!!!
