I hope everything goes well for you.I would like to get to know you. I have alot of bowel problems too.I have a J-Tube(feeding tube)in now.They have talked about the col bag,but they never did it.I'll say a prayer for you.

- Amitiza Somewhat Helpful
- Avoid Certain Foods / Chemicals Somewhat Helpful
- Lactose, hydrogenated oil, vegetable oil, olive oil, margarine, eggs, anything high in fat seem to cause a lot of pain
- High Fiber Diet Not Working
- Even with drinking more water this did not work!
- Miralax Somewhat Helpful
- This was prescribed for me to take before it was available over the counter but like everything else that I have tried after taking it for a period of time it stopped working.
- Peppermint Somewhat Helpful
- Zelnorm Working / Worked
- Was working but doctor took me off of it because of the side effects...
Close Diverticulitis
I am a thirty year old happily married mental health therapist who has experienced 4 attacks of diverticulitis since I turned 27. I have been hospitalized twice both times for a full week due to severe attacks. I also recently had a perforation. Prior to my first attack I never had any problems with my bowels and never got a stomach ache. Now it seems that there isn't a day that I am not sick. Two of the attacks were located on the left side and two were located on the right.

- Levaquin Somewhat Helpful
Open GERD & Heartburn
I have IBS, Diverticulitis, and GERD and Heartburn. I am also having a Total Colectomy soon due to my severe diverticulitis.
