Today was a wonderful day. Since I go to church on Saturday; I even made it through whole services and an evening seminar. With NO pain meds!!! I didn't say without pain, just it was allieviated so much to the point that it was unnecessary to Rx it. That is huge for me
way cool!!!. I think I'll read something uplifting, have some chamomile tea and tug myself into bed. Just an all around wonderful day! I am learning that sometime, a day doesn't have to have so much 'outside stuff' to be fulfilling, just being in the moment can be enough. This is something of a revelation to me, because I always feel I have to go, go,go til I drop. Pacing is a good thing!
I got a 'word' from a lady today, who had battled breast cancer twice, and survive. She said two things; nuitrition AND rest. So I'm doing very well on the former, and trying to learn to heed the latter.
Nite, nite.

Good morning Hunter,
your journal entry is very inspriring and helpful, you seem to have had so much peace within yourself yesterday,as i read, it gave me alot of peace within myself this morning..I am also on the go all the time, today will be a peaceful relaxing day for Tim and i, thanks to your journal entry..Tim is doing great today (not ok, one of of my habit words) About his rash, he'll always have a rash while he's on Torisel, it depends on the severity weather he can stay on the drug..Right now with the lower dose his rash is not bad, but then again he's only had 2 doses of 15 mg and again a 2 week off period..Being on steroids helps, which he is back on, so with alot of hope by the 30th he can get back on a regular 3 week schedule, our oncologist, has told us that the side effect of such a severe rash as Tim had means the Torisel is working and shrinking his lung nodules and mass...Even tho it's been a horrible 2 month run if Tim can bear this rash he has a very good chance of good shrinkage, out of all the drugs out i beleive Torisel is the best... It takes a different pathway, a potent with a specic inhibitor that works different than Sutent or nexavar, but it is more for advanced rcc..Tim has been very lucky that with Torisel that he's only had one side effect, for that i am grateful, a severve one but brought right back under control fast..I look at Tim, and he looks so healthy, little weight loss, a great appetite and works everyday, and it's so hard to really beleive that he is in stage 4 of this disease, the two of us will fight this disease everyday.. Our lives are in a more normal patten, (as normal as life can be living with mrcc) but that took 5 months to get here, just waking up in the morning with Tim, is a precious gift...Sorry that i went on here, i hope you have a wonderful peaceful day...
Hugs to you too, Becca
