      Most likely you've got UC and he is genetically predisopose to have it. I've had UC for 10 years and I've had many theories as to why. Allergies, viruses, mold, etc. I believe they are all involved. I believe they are the trigger that sets the UC off. Once set off you must get it under control by any means necessary. Please do what the doctors say. Sorry to be bossy. Good luck!

      my 17 yr old son diagnosed 3 yrs ago - did great until about 5 months ago. flare seems to be getting worse - goes multiple times daily.

      Treatments

      Colazal Working / Worked
      worked great - no problems. doc switched to Lialda about a year ago.
      Lialda Not Working
      right now not working. did initially.
