    • About Me

Retired from a large medical system as the Purchasing Manager. We processed over one million dollars per day of supplies for the system. Late in life PTSD forced me to retire early in 2000. I have been in treatment both civilian and VA since that time. Group therapy weekly is what helps me the most along with EMDR about monthly. I was a Corpsman with the Marine Corps in Vietnam and spent 5 months in the hospital recovering from a grenade explosion. Ninety percent of my unit was killed or wounded in Nam. I suffer from survivor quilt and flashbacks related to body bags.

    • Interests

My wife collects depression glass and I collect Hall China items. Mostly teapots is what I collect even though I hate tea. I have over 500 teapots but it keeps my mind focused on something other then Nam memories. We are also RVer's and love traveling which forces me to get out of my safe zone. I have agoraphobia from PTSD so traveling is a good way for my wife to get me out and about. Of course watching our grandkids play sports is another great interest of ours. See...all these things get me out of my cave in the basement. My wife plans it this way and it does help.
