Close Multiple Myeloma

Its actually my mother in-law that has the MM diagnosis. We were just introduced to the idea of a stem cell transplant and wanted to hear from other ppl the good the bad and the ugly. She is fairly new to all of this (diagnosed Dec.2008) and so we are looking for any info that can help
