Hi. I saw your post in the crainosynostosis group. I would’ve posted there but nobody seems to go there very much. I had my operation back in 1957 when it was pretty much experimental. I’ve got a very weird shape to the top of my skull but nobody sees that except for my hairdresser, apart from that no lasting effects whatsoever. I’m 54 now and I’ve led a totally normal life and had 2 normal children. I never even think about it which is why I’ve never looked for the support group before now, I just came upon it by accident today. I hope this gives you some encouragement.

My daughter was born with Metopic cranio...she had surgery at 10 months old...she is not healing as fast as other children, she still has a number of soft spots, and dents above both eyes. She is now 2-1/2...she maybe facing another surgery in the future to fill in the soft spots
